ABA Auto Repair Specialties is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on a wide range of light-duty cars and light trucks. We are looking for a reliable technician who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, values accuracy in electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and thrives in a clean, professional shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform systematic diagnostic checks on engine management, drivability issues, electrical systems, ABS, and HVAC using advanced scan tools and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) repair procedures.
Mechanical Repair: Complete engine repairs, transmission service, brake systems replacements, suspension/steering overhauls, exhaust work, and climate control system repairs.
Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct multi-point vehicle safety inspections, oil changes, fluid flushes, tire balances/rotations, and manufacturer-recommended routine maintenance.
Service Accuracy & Documentation: Document all work performed, diagnostics, parts needed, and labor estimates clearly for service management and customer repair orders.
Shop & Safety Standards: Maintain a safe, organized work area, properly handle fluids and shop equipment, and adhere to all local, state, and OSHA safety regulations.
