Automotive Process and Quality Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:
• Establish and manage process-related quality engineering plans for automotive component programs from new vehicle development through launch and mass production.
• Monitor product and manufacturing process quality using SAP, MES, and related manufacturing systems, and analyze inspection, defect, production, and equipment data to identify quality trends and process deviations.
• Review and manage 4M changes, engineering orders, control plans, inspection standards, and related process and quality documents to ensure that approved changes are properly implemented.
• Investigate manufacturing process deviations, nonconforming products, and customer quality issues; perform root-cause analysis and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate manufacturing process conditions and changes involving personnel, equipment, materials, and methods to identify quality risks and opportunities for process and quality improvement.
• Develop and revise quality plans, control plans, inspection standards, SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports to improve process standardization, product traceability, and quality consistency.
• Train local quality managers and employees on inspection methods, process controls, problem-solving procedures, quality standards, and the proper use of relevant manufacturing and quality systems.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and customer representatives to resolve technical and quality issues and implement practical process and quality improvements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
• Relevant internship or professional experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment involving process monitoring, quality inspection, defect verification, root-cause analysis, equipment troubleshooting, SOP or work-instruction development, production data analysis, and process or quality improvement.
• Hands-on experience using manufacturing execution and data-analysis tools, including MES, Spotfire, HMI systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel, to monitor production and quality data, investigate defects and process deviations, and prepare technical reports; familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for engineering change control, traceability, quality documentation, and production reporting is preferred.
