Responsibilities: • Follow a checklist-based approach to comprehensively examine all vehicle systems, such as the engine, transmission, air conditioning, and brake systems • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools • Create protocols for tracking diagnostic tests and repairs, acquiring necessary technical manuals, and more throughout our dealerships • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process • Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs • Advanced Diagnostics: Independently troubleshoot highly complex drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues, particularly those requiring CAN network analysis • Complex Repairs: Execute heavy-duty powertrain, transmission, and structural repairs in accordance with Mazda’s strict manufacturer specifications and warranty standard Qualifications: • Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred • High school diploma or GED is required • Strong customer service and communications skills are needed • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal • Must have achieved the highest level of Mazda-certified or Mazda Master Technician training, usually verified by passing a rigorous pass/fail diagnostic test at a Mazda Technical Training Center Compensation: $100,000 - $200,000 yearly
