Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced Automobile/Premise Liability Defense Attorney , to join our winning team in New York.

This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys with 4+ years of civil litigation experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• You will manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements.
• At least 4 years of experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability cases in the State of New York.
• Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Clear and consistent client communication will be essential, including providing regular updates and comprehensive written status reports.
• You will also conduct in-depth legal research, prepare strategic memoranda, and collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
• Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions, perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.
• Previous experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions independently.
• Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations.

• Ability to prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers
