Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.The RoleAs an Automation Technician, you will help drive our goals by:Supporting the operation of automation control systems to maintain safe, reliable and efficient productionTroubleshooting and resolving control system and equipment issues with production and maintenance teamsPerforming maintenance and adjustments on automated electrical equipment including PLCs, HMIs, drives and servo systemsUpdating control systems documentation and supporting program modifications to improve performanceWorking with external vendors to diagnose and resolve complex automation issuesTraining colleagues on troubleshooting techniques and safe maintenance practicesKey Skills That Will Help You Succeed In This Role:• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline• Experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation in a manufacturing environment• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including drives, control panels and power distribution• Ability to analyse faults, identify root causes and implement effective solutions• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley systems (ControlLogix, RSLogix 5000) and industrial networks is advantageous• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsEven if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!What We Offer:We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
