Primarily, this is an entry-level Technician position.Essential FunctionsUnderstand and follow all applicable safety and quality system procedures.Monitor the quality of the products and adjust the machines to comply with quality standards.Assist other Technicians in unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and proto-types as necessary.Monitor the machines during production, resolve issues, and log results.Monitor the processes on the line to ensure they are being followed.Provide general assistance to the workflow in the department as required.Work on the line to fill in for Machine Operators, as needed.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.RequirementsAssociate's degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, PC Repair, Automotive, CNC, or equivalent fields. Relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Ability to read, speak, and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language.General knowledge of machinery and the ability to take things apart and put them back together.Knowledge of Printed Circuit board automation is a plus.Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.Good verbal and written skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment.Ability to fill out daily records and logs.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, hear and talk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand in one area for long periods of time, with minimal breaks. Physical ability to move freely and have sufficient reflexes to perform the same tasks repeatedly using hands to complete the task at a constant rate so the assembly line will not be interrupted. Hand-eye coordination necessary to work with small electronic parts.
