Automation TechnicianThe Automation Technician provides hands-on, technical support for new and existing automated processes. Primary functions will include working with and troubleshooting PLC's, vision systems, and other automated control systems, preventive maintenance, new equipment installations, and integrations. This position is based in a highly technical manufacturing facility and requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, a high degree of flexibility, good communication skills, a desire to learn, and the ability to work in a safe manner.Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC, vision systems, and other automated control systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems, overhaul production machinery and build experimentalProvides troubleshooting support for manufacturing equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot motor/drive controller issuesSupport internal projectsAdditional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:Associate's degree in electrical engineering or certificate in electrical field of study or equivalent experienceProficiency with PCs and Rockwell AutomationPLC programming, variable-speed drives, vision systems, servo-systems, industrial sensors and Relay Ladder LogicPanel-view, Factory Talk, or other operator interface programmingExperience completing and documenting preventive and non-routine maintenanceExcellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skillsAdditional PREFERRED Qualifications/Skills:ISO 9001 or 13485, CFR 820Journeyman or Master Electrician LicenseStrong PC Skills - AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to adjust, replace and/or repair mechanical drive components, chain & sprockets, pulleys, bearings, and gearboxesAbility to troubleshoot, replace and/or repair solenoids, cylinders, and other pneumatic systemsKnowledge of slitting and winding methods, equipment, and procedures5+ years manufacturing experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipmentExperience operating scissor lifts and/or forklifts
