Automation Technician 3To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Technician 3 located in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Automation Engineer the Automation Technician 3 role supports automation engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development (non-production).What a typical day looks like:Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system componentsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceabilityEnsuring all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company protocolsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related componentsEnsure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment are completed on a regularly scheduled basisUnderstanding of PLCsRead and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawingsAnalyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve problemsCollaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systemsRecords procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or methodThe experience we're looking to add to our team:Typically requires an associate's degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experienceTypically requires 4 years of related experienceElectronics experience preferred but not requiredExperience with SMT and PCBA is preferred but not requiredIPC and workmanship experience knowledge preferredServes as an expert/consultant in technical skills with other employeesDemonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processesWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition ReimbursementJob CategoryProduction EngineeringIs Sponsorship Available?No Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
