Automation Engineering SupervisorLocation: Fort Worth Alliance, TXEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryThe Automation Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading and bringing up automation engineering engineers for the automation project introduction, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting management for automation equipment and automated systems used in electronics manufacturing. This position ensures maximum uptime, reliability, and performance both of team and machinery to meet production and quality objectives, while driving customer collaboration and introducing cutting-edge technologies to the manufacturing process. Automation Engineering Supervisor collaborates closely with manufacturing teams across to manufacturing engineering, operation, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and safe, efficient operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeam Bring upPlanning the technical implementation resource and timeline, managing the data conversion, and performing the solution deployment and installationLead the training and mentoring to the junior engineering engineers in the teamFacilitate team in ramping up & updating their knowledge to constantly meet customers needs for resolutions in terms of process, soft-skill and technical capabilityResponsible for delivery enabling, including capability/capacity planning and resources plan implementationCollaborate with management team to implement strategic plan, improvement initiatives and re-engineer processes where appropriate and necessaryAutomation Equipment Implementation and MaintenanceCoordinate with Automation HC, WUS IE team and vendors for equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning for new production linesParticiple integration of new automation equipment, vision inspection, and related systemsLead automation system calibration activities to ensure proper functionality before handoff to productionLead automation equipment preventive and corrective maintenance managementLead RCCA activities for diagnose and repair automation equipment failuresParticipate technical engineering activities on identify root causes of equipment failures and corrective actionsProcess SupportCollaborate with engineers to improve equipment performance and reliabilitySupport production line changes, tooling adjustments, and process optimizationsImplement maintenance best practices to minimize unplanned downtimeExecute RCCA with PDCA process including error preventing actionsSafety & ComplianceFollow all OSHA, EHS, and company safety policies and proceduresEnsure all tools, parts, and equipment are handled and stored properlyParticipate in equipment safety audits and corrective action implementationQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical EngineeringExperience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in automated system implementation, vendor management, equipment maintenance, preferably in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or automated production environmentsTechnical Skills:Familiarity with manufacturing processes and experience in implementing automated equipment, with knowledge of mainstream market technologiesFamiliarity with engineering management processes, capable of effectively planning and executing projectsExceptional communication and coordination skills, able to interact effectively with teams and clientsProficient in troubleshooting PLCs, sensors, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic systemsFamiliarity with robotics, vision systems, and automated equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawingsExperience with automation machine design in 3D/2D tools, SolidWorks or Creo and AutoCADSoftware Knowledge: CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Microsoft OfficeCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in technical documentationEffective communication and teamwork in cross-functional environmentsCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAdaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing settingWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsWork is primarily performed in a manufacturing and assembly environment involving exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and occasional high noise levelsMay require work in cleanroom or ESD-controlled areas and adherence to static control proceduresPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing ladders or platformsRegular lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of heavier components with mechanical assistanceManual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling tools, wiring, and delicate mechanical partsVisual acuity to read mechanical drawings, detect equipment malfunctions, and inspect partsAbility to work in varying temperatures and occasionally confined spaces
