Automation EngineerAs an Automation Engineer using Python or Robot Framework for the Atlanta office, you will be working directly with UX, BA and full stack engineers to deliver coded automated tests for browser and server applications in a CI/CD environment, following Kanban methodologies.Responsibilities:Work with development team to identify and capture test casesWrite test plans and test cases for assigned features.Test case development based on functional and technical requirementsSet up and monitoring of automation test suites as part of CI/CD pipelineWorking directly with the wider teams to maintain and enhance our test automation frameworksMaintaining bug backlogs - triaging and prioritizing with stakeholdersAdvocate for QA and defining/maintaining quality standards within your teamResearch test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.Work across different application and integrated automations scripts to create E2E flowsEnable automation execution for all new builds and hotfixes through continuous testing processWhat We're Looking For... General Experience:A minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in software developmentProfessional experience in agile/lean methodologies and processes - ideally Kanban or scrum as a minimumGood communication skills both written and oralExperience with systems analysis and design, and working with senior engineers and architectsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience working in a larger project and team environments with product, application support and operations teamsA software enthusiast with a passion for the technologies you are working withQuality and results focused with experience in project delivery - individually or as part of a team and ideally in a CI/CD environmentBachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplineTechnical Skills / Experience:Strong experience in testing fundamentals - test case generation, smoke testing, regression etc.Hands-on development experience in JAVA, Python (preferred), C# etc.Development experience with UNIX/Linux environmentGood hands-on development experience on PLSQL, oracle, Postgres or any other database3+ years of experience in coded test automation using Python or Robot FrameworkExperience using Selenium Web Driver 2/3 and Visual Studio/PyCharm to write coded automation testsUnderstanding of API and Web UI / Browser based testing on modern UI frameworksCross browser testing experienceExperience with test case management tools such as Test RailThorough understanding and experience of testing RESTful API & Microservice architectures through code-based testingExperience in Object Oriented/SOLID Design principles and practicesProficiency in SQL for data set up and verificationAbility to read and understand production code as part of test case developmentExposure to defect/requirements management tools e.g. JIRAManaging code with source control applications e.g GITEven Better If You Have:Experience testing Microservices or Service Oriented ArchitecturesAdvocate of clean code practices and processesDemonstrated performance testing experience (JUnit, Loadrunner or other tools)Knowledge of Test Driven Development and Domain Driven Design
