Overview:
We're seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and support PLC and SCADA systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the project lifecycle, including design, programming, commissioning, startup, validation, and customer support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC applications utilizing Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Studio 5000/RSLogix.
- Design and configure SCADA systems (Wonderware, Ignition, iFIX, etc.).
- Create automation documentation, functional specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and control hardware.
- Review P&IDs, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and control schematics.
- Support commissioning, startup, validation, and customer training activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Travel to client sites for startup, service, and support.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of Automation Engineering experience.
- Strong Allen-Bradley ControlLogix programming experience using Studio 5000 or RSLogix.
- Experience developing SCADA applications (Wonderware, Ignition, iFIX, etc.).
- PLC troubleshooting, commissioning, controls, and instrumentation experience.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
