Overview
One of the world’s largest device manufacturing companies is seeking an Automation Engineer to support UV-C and catheter manufacturing operations. This on-site contract role is located in Covington, GA or New Jersey. Contract duration is 6-12 months with potential to convert to full-time employment (FTE).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize automated manufacturing systems and tooling solutions to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation across medical device production lines.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Knowledge of machine vision systems and sensors.
- Knowledge of FDA, GMP, or ISO standards.
- Experience with injection molding machines, mold design principles, and materials (plastics, composites, metals).
- Knowledge of machining processes for tool fabrication.
- Familiarity with GD&T and dimensional inspection tools.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and motion control systems.
- Understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and panel design.
