Responsibilities

  Assist with the efficient operation of manufacturing facilities by procuring and maintaining automation equipment.

  Design, oversee installation, and complete qualification of new automation systems.

• n

  Manage automation costs and present savings opportunities to management regularly.

• n

  Maintain and improve existing automation machines within the division.

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate with outside suppliers for automation projects.

  n
n
• n

  Create and approve specifications and designs for new automation machines.

  n
n
• n

  Manage construction schedules to meet production needs for automation projects.

  n
n
• n

  Procure purchase orders for automation at suppliers.

  n
n
• n

  Assist with production start-ups related to automation machinery.

  n
n
• n

  Troubleshoot automation machines and oversee continuous improvement efforts.

  n
n
• n

  Support other divisions with automation projects as needed.

  n
n
• n

  Use a handheld propane torch on the production floor as required.

  n
n

Requirements

n
• n

  College Degree or Injection Molding Processing experience

  n
n
• n

  3+ years of experience in automation or related field

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards

  n
n
• n

  Ability to work with standard methods of work in manufacturing environments

  n
n
