This role serves as a key interface between Automation/OT and on-site IT teams, focusing on troubleshooting equipment connectivity, supporting system integration, and ensuring reliable data flow across platforms. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate automation concepts to IT personnel who may not have prior experience with industrial control systems.
Responsibilities include serving as the primary liaison between Automation/OT and IT teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to equipment connectivity, communication, and data flow, supporting integration between industrial control systems and IT infrastructure, assisting IT teams in understanding automation systems, architectures, and dependencies, configuring, maintaining, and supporting automation platforms and data systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection through historian and integration platforms, participating in GxP/validation activities where applicable, documenting system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts related to system performance and reliability.Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or process control environments, strong experience with AVEVA PI System (PI Historian), experience working in GxP or validated environments, experience with Ignition SCADA platforms, experience with Rockwell Automation systems (Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk), strong troubleshooting skills across OT and IT systems, and the ability to effectively communicate with IT teams unfamiliar with automation systems.Why Join Catalyx?
