Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience preferred but not required. At least 6-10 years of total experience and 2-3 years of experience leading projects yourself Experience designing and implementing industrial automation and control systems. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, wiring, and commissioning procedures. Knowledge of UL508A, NEC, NFPA standards, along with electrical calculations and component sizing. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical is preferred. At least working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk View, PowerFlex drives, and/or Kinetix servo systems. Familiarity with industrial networking, motion control, and safety systems. Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities Lead automation projects from initial concept through commissioning, ensuring schedule, budget, and customer requirements are met. Create and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material using AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical. Perform electrical design calculations such as conductor sizing, circuit protection, and power distribution. Configure and troubleshoot automation hardware including servo drives, PowerFlex drives, and related systems. Develop and modify PLC programs, HMI applications, safety systems, and motion control systems Review and update electrical documentation to reflect design changes and as-built machine configurations
