Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Dallas. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions across industrial and renewable energy systems, with a strong focus on IT/OT integration and SCADA platforms .

Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain automation systems to support industrial and renewable (solar and wind) operations.
- Develop and optimize SCADA systems , ensuring high availability and performance across solar and wind assets.
- Integrate IT/OT technologies , bridging operational technology with enterprise-level IT systems.
- Support system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, electrical, and software engineering.
- Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and provide training to end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years' experience in automation engineering roles, ideally within renewable energy (solar and wind projects) .
- Strong background in SCADA configuration and support (Wonderware, Ignition, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with IT/OT convergence projects.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial networks, and control system architecture.
- Familiarity with industry standards for safety and cybersecurity in automation environments.
Preferred
- Direct project experience with solar PV plants and wind farm control systems .
- Knowledge of data historians and industrial IoT solutions.
- Experience in energy, utilities, or large-scale industrial facilities.
