Senior-Level Software EngineerFidelity Investments has an exciting opportunity for a senior-level software engineer with a strong automation and quality engineering talent. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing test automation frameworks and in-house software utilities as part of the Health Care organization within Fidelity’s Workplace Investing division.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house software utilities. Adhere to established software engineering standard methodologies and standards.
Champion Automation and DevOps best practices across the engineering organization.Collaborate with other technical resources to:Evaluate and recommend automation tools and frameworksSuggest improvements for processes, standard methodologies, and standards.Design and develop automated tests and/or software tools.Find opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform.Understand and apply test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities developed by self and others.Collaborate with project team to understand and prioritize system testing effortsMine and manipulate data to build test data for multiple or complex projectsDefine automated regression tests for future projects and for ongoing regression effortsDocument and report on identified system testing issues in standard defect tracking toolExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologyThe Expertise and Skills You BringExperience with automation, test and DevOps tools including Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured, JIRA/Xray, JUnit, Jenkins, GitHub and performance testing toolsAdditional experience with Java/J2EE, Unix/Linux, HTML, JavaScript, Spring and Web ServicesSolid technical background of solving problems and identifying root cause.Shares knowledge and enjoy mentoring other members of the teamB.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
