Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong Python skills, including writing scripts from scratch, debugging under pressure, and working in an unfamiliar codebase.
- Hands-on REST API experience, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries, idempotency, and interpreting API documentation to resolve edge cases.
- Git and GitHub experience, including GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD, workflows, scheduled jobs, and secrets management.
- Advanced Zapier experience, including webhooks and custom API steps.
- Experience editing and extending WordPress sites, beyond publishing posts.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience shipping a project that calls LLM APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar.
- Ability to execute a defined technical plan: ask clarifying questions up front, then build reliably and independently.
- Habit of testing and verifying work before release.
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality when handling client data, API keys, and firm systems; a credit check and background check are required.
- Availability to work in person at our Plantation office, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Nice to have: experience with Clio, Filevine, Litify, MyCase, or another legal practice management API.
- Nice to have: experience automating Windows desktop applications using COM or pywin32, or working with Microsoft 365 environments.
- Nice to have: document generation and templating, including .docx merge fields, PDF manipulation, and metadata handling.
- Nice to have: Facebook advertising or geo-fencing experience.
- Nice to have: experience with Airtable, Retool, or similar internal-tool platforms.
- Nice to have: local SEO, Google Business Profile, or analytics implementation experience.
- Nice to have: VoIP or phone system administration experience, including 3CX.
- Nice to have: experience in a law firm, medical office, or other setting where compliance and confidentiality are important.
- Nice to have: bilingual English and Spanish.
- Build, maintain, extend, and harden Python automation connected to Clios REST API, including pagination, OAuth tokens, rate limiting, retries, and resumable runs.
- Create document-automation workflows for new case and letter types.
- Troubleshoot automation issues, including changed fields, failed template merges, and interrupted runs.
- Build and maintain multi-step Zapier workflows connecting Clio, email, and other tools, using raw API calls when packaged integrations are insufficient.
- Maintain and extend GitHub Actions pipelines, including scheduled jobs, secrets management, and failure alerts.
- Automate email routing and triage, calendar and intake workflows, and internal notifications.
- Maintain and extend our AI content pipeline and build AI-assisted internal tools.
- Work directly with LLM APIs, structured outputs, chained calls, prompt iteration, and cost and error handling.
- Build internal applications and dashboards when scripts alone are not sufficient.
- Modify and maintain our WordPress sites, including pages, forms, landing pages, plugins, performance, and tracking.
- Build intake funnels, calculators, booking flows, and lead-capture tools for our firm and other businesses.
- Implement new technical ideas across our estate planning, coaching, and legal education businesses.

More:
We are Evolution Law Group, a Plantation-based firm with personal injury and PIP, unclaimed property recovery, and estate planning practices, as well as a coaching business and legal education brand. This in-person role works directly with the firms owner to implement an established technical plan across our existing systems; it is an execution-focused position, not a roadmap-setting or people-management role. We offer an annual salary of $70,000–$90,000 and annual bonuses. Our small team values trust, ownership, and clear communication over micromanagement. Benefits include two weeks of paid vacation, a paid week off at Christmas, six paid federal holidays, flexibility around scheduling, a child-friendly room in the office, access to an in-office therapy room, an annual retreat and Christmas party, and the equipment and software needed for the work. We do not offer a group benefits program. The posting describes the position as an independent contract role.
