Job Description
The HMO Authorization Specialist is an essential component of the certified agency team. The HMO Authorization Specialist is responsible for requesting authorization for home care services for patients with HMO/Managed Care payment sources and acts as a liaison between community-based COC (Coordinators of Care) and the HMO/Managed Care Companies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must have homecare & managed care experience
- Knowledge about health insurance verification
- Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally required
- Computer Literacy – Proficiency in Word and Excel required
