Aurora PostgreSQL DBANeed at least 10-12+ years of overall experienceLocation: Charlotte, NC (4x per week Onsite)Duration: Long Term ContractJob Description:10 years’ experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems in PostgreSQL4–5 years’ experience working with AWS Aurora/RDS PostgreSQLStrong knowledge of working with DMS, CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and other DB monitoring tools like PMM or FoglightStrong knowledge and experience in integrating and working on cloud monitoring tools like Dynatrace and logging tools like SplunkDeep knowledge of database internals, troubleshooting, query optimization, explain plan analysis, and performance optimizationExperience migrating databases from other DB engines to Aurora/RDS PostgreSQLBroad exposure and work experience on other databases and data warehousing technologiesExperience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and DynamoDBExcellent communication skills; should be able to communicate efficiently with customers and leaders, and lead discussions during incident callsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience working with customers, resolving database, systems, and infrastructure-related issues, and providing systems architecture leadershipAbility to analyze issues holistically, from the application tier through the database down to the storageBroad awareness of customer workloads and use cases, including performance, availability, and scalabilityHolistic exposure and work experience on AWS Cloud and Infrastructure
