Audit Manager – Technical Reviewer

Location: Hauppauge, NY
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
We are a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds. We have three locations: Hauppauge (home office), Iselin, NJ, and Floral Park, NY. This role is available for Full‑Time or Part‑Time and focuses on quality control. A CPA license is required.
Responsibilities
- Detailed review of engagements
- Compliance with GAAP
- Review of tax returns: 990's, LM-2's, 5500's
- Functioning as a Firm resource on the research of technical issues involving complex accounting, auditing, and other regulatory matters
- Preparing position papers and implementation guidance regarding newly issued technical pronouncements
- Busy season hours requirements
Experience Required
- 10+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience
- Experience with labor unions, multi‑employer employee benefit funds preferred but not required
- Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues
- Time management skills
- Detail oriented
