Audit Manager/Director – Eastern Washington

CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm dedicated to creating opportunities for clients, people, and communities through industry‑focused services. We are hiring an Audit Manager/Director to join our Eastern Washington offices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise, and control all phases of the firm’s regular services for delegated clients.
  • Assume in‑charge responsibility; plan timing, staffing, and execution of assurance engagements to promote efficiency and deliver client value.
  • Lead decision‑making for assigned engagements; keep the Engagement Principal fully informed of major decisions and progress.
  • Develop a responsible and trained team through recruiting, assignment planning, problem resolution, consultation, performance evaluation, and professional development instruction.
  • Oversee preparation and approval of engagement letters; discuss assignment terms with clients; estimate fees; secure client signatures before engagement start.
  • Evaluate internal controls and audit programs prepared by staff, revise as necessary, and present for approval.
  • Monitor engagement progress, time budgets, and deadlines; communicate important developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the Engagement Principal.
  • Maintain ongoing client management and prepare final client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Current CPA license required.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel when necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position in Washington is $104,300.00 to $177,000.00.
