Audit Manager- CPA FirmCPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with 6 to 8 years of experience in public accounting. This individual reports directly to the firm's Managing Partner.This is a leadership role that is responsible for supervising, directing audit teams, and reviewing the audit results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of an audit engagement. Responsibility includes presentation of audit reports and findings to client's governing body.Provide training to audit staff – training sessions & on-the-job training.

This position requires a person that will be a long term value to the firm.Travel:Overnight travel is minimal.Requirements:CPA designation required.Permits to practice in Missouri and Kansas (or qualified to obtain)At least 6 years public accounting experienceWorking knowledge of Professional StandardsSound GAAP and GAAS knowledgeFamiliarity with GASB reportingSingle Audit experiencePrevious experience with audits of not-for-profit and governmental entities a plus.Experience working in a paperless environment a plus.Excellent computer skillsOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPossess proven solid verbal and written communication skillsPossess executive presence – need to be able to be primary contact for the client, prepare and presentpresentations to clients and potential clients.Possess solid decision-making skills.Able to research and resolve complex accounting issues.Able to be responsible for business development and marketing.Able to be responsible for engagement profitability including budgets, billings and collections.
