Overview:
I'm working with an established public accounting firm looking to appoint an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join its growing team in Maryland.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced audit professional who enjoys leading engagements, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality financial statement audits.
The role will involve:
- Managing audit and assurance engagements from initial planning through to final deliverables.
- Developing engagement plans, budgets and schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Taking ownership of client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact.
- Providing leadership, direction and support to engagement teams.
- Ensuring high-quality work, effective communication and excellent client service.
- Overseeing engagement billing and collections.
What they're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience within a public accounting firm.
- Active CPA licence required.
- Strong financial statement (FS) audit experience is essential.
- Experience managing audit engagements and client relationships.
- Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem fx.
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
