Responsibilities
- Lead multiple audit and assurance engagements for governmental entities, including municipalities, counties, special districts, and charter schools.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, engagement teams, and firm leadership.
- Manage engagement planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
- Review audit workpapers, reports, and financial statements for quality and compliance.
- Mentor and develop staff while providing technical guidance and leadership.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in business development activities and help expand the firm's Government and Not-for-Profit practice.
Qualifications
- CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 10+ years of public accounting experience, including leadership experience at the Senior Manager level or above.
- Extensive experience auditing governmental entities.
- Strong knowledge of Yellow Book (GAGAS), GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.
- Experience with Single Audits and Not-for-Profit organizations preferred.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
