Job Description
Performs audiological evaluations utilizing appropriate diagnostic tests to identify individuals with hearing loss. Provides rehabilitation/habilitation of individuals with hearing impairment. Evaluates and treats patients ranging in age from newborns through geriatrics. Counsels patients and/or their families as to test results and recommended treatment plans. Communicates results and management plans orally and in writing to physicians, educational planners, other health care professionals and federal agencies. Ensures quality patient care by adhering to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology and less than one year of previous work related experience required. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferred. Licensure preferred as an Audiologist by the State of New Jersey. Hearing Aid and Dispensing license preferred. Maintains clinical knowledge by attending continuing education activities. Requires analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational & interpersonal skills
