Brief Description

Chattanooga Based Audiologist Ready to make a lasting impact in a nonprofit environment? The Speech & Hearing Center is looking for an audiologist who will be responsible for diagnostic hearing evaluations, as well as hearing aid dispensing and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Au.D. or Master's degree in audiology
  • ASHA certificate of clinical competence
  • Current hearing aid dispensing and audiology licensure
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service mindset
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office business suite
  • Proficiency with variety of hearing aid manufacturer software and hardware
  • Proven track record in hearing aid sales
  • Connection to the mission of serving those with hearing and/or communication disorders

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations.
  • Conduct vestibular and balance assessments for patients across the lifespan, as appropriate
  • Analyze test findings and make recommendations based on the customer’s needs.
  • Maintains accurate patient records noting appropriate background information, responses and progress.
  • Provides written reports and progress notes and identifies differential diagnosis.
  • Recommend and dispense assistive listening and hearing solutions
  • Educate patients in how to use and maintain the hearing aid devices, provide demonstrations and information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding hearing health, hearing loss, balance disorders, and next steps in care
  • Make follow-up calls to patients to ensure satisfaction with their assistive listening and hearing device
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate effectively with management and support team as well as partner organizations
