Position Overview
Provides a comprehensive array of professional services related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of persons with auditory and balance disorders and the disabilities associated with them.
Audiologists utilize evaluation, assessment, patient education and counseling tools to identify and provide non-medical management of disorders of the auditory, balance, and neural system.
Audiologists work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic audiology tests and rehabilitative services to patients of all ages.
- Audiological, vestibular, and implant assessments, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, evoked potentials.
- Implant programming, hearing instrument recommendations, selection and fittings, aural rehabilitation, and treatment for benign paroxysmal positioning vertigo.
Majority of the position is direct care to outpatients and inpatients.
Qualifications
- AuD or PhD in Audiology.
- Or an audiologist practicing with a master’s degree in audiology before August 2007.
- Eligibility for licensure as an audiologist in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Location/Work Hours
150 miles north of Minneapolis, MN, located on the westernmost tip of Great Lake Superior.
Casual hours; direct patient care in an outpatient/specialty setting.
Compensation
Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
