Av Technical Student WorkerUnder the supervision of the AV Technical Manager, provide technical support for outside activities scheduled at Twinsburg High School Auditorium and activities at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium and Tiger Stadium. Assists with the operation of technical and stage equipment for these three venues.Rate: $13.50 per hour-Not to exceed 18 hours per week.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a Twinsburg High School studentMust be age 16 or olderMotor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportationSuccessful related experience in audio/visual maintenanceAuditorium/theater/stadium production experience preferredKnowledge of current theater/auditorium/scoreboard technologyProficiency in reading, math, oral and written communicationRemain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the DistrictResponsibilities and Essential Functions:Complete tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisorAct as a proper role model for the community at all timesAttend required professional development activitiesPerform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job descriptionAccept direction and suggestions from immediate supervisorAttend assigned outside activities scheduled at Twinsburg High School Auditorium and assigned activities at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium or Tiger StadiumEnsure proficient knowledge on the operation of the sound, lighting and visual display systems at Twinsburg High School Auditorium, sound and scoreboard system at Twinsburg High School Gymnasium, and the sound and scoreboard system at Tiger StadiumEnsure proficient knowledge of how to operate camera equipmentEnsure proficient knowledge of how to tape and edit video, sound and other applicable filesEnsure the appropriate storage and handling of audio visual equipmentMaintains and repairs specific pieces of A/V equipmentRefers major repair of A/V equipment to the AV Technical ManagerFollow written directions, write legibly, and complete reports using current computer hardware and software, if necessaryPossess strong interpersonal skills while working with the community in a positive public relations modeAny other duties requested by the AV Technical Manager or other supervisory staff memberRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hearThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach and lift with hands and armsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focusSome travel abilities are requiredThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe position requires the individual to be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints, to prioritize which needs are to be fulfilled first, interact with the public, students, and other staff, meet demands from several people, and the ability to work aloneWorking Conditions:Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseasesPotential for interaction with disruptive and/or unruly individualsExposure to adverse weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremesDuties may require operating and/or riding in a vehicleExposure to loud noises and equipment vibrationsDuties may require operating power tools and exposure to electrical hazardsDuties may require exposure to chemicals, combustible materials, air borne particulates, and odorsDuties may require wearing protective clothing and using safety equipmentDuties may require working under time constraints to meet deadlinesDuties may require working during the evening and/or weekendPerformance Evaluation:The AV Technical Student Worker will have his/her performance evaluated at least annually by the immediate supervisor to whom assigned in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
