This role sits inside our St. Louis office. You'll handle all aspects of representing clients in their workers' compensation matters — from the moment a case opens through each resolution — while providing direction and supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure full compliance with workers' compensation laws, regulations, and labor codes.Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and claim status throughout their matterInteract and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clientsDraft case materials, correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documentsEnsure accuracy of all documents prepared by you and your teamRepresent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedingsProvide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in compliance with all workers' compensation laws and regulationsActive Missouri Bar license — requiredAt least one year of workers' compensation experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant litigation background consideredEligibility to obtain Illinois Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity)Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentExceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skillsCommitted to providing responsive and compassionate client serviceProficient with Microsoft Office programs — Excel, Word, SharePointOutstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsDM Injury Law provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
