This role sits inside our Kansas City office. You'll handle all aspects of representing clients in their workers' compensation matters — from the moment a case opens through each resolution — while providing direction and supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure full compliance with workers' compensation laws, regulations, and labor codes.What You'll DoProactively communicate with clients to provide updates and claim status throughout their matterInteract and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clientsDraft case materials, correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documentsEnsure accuracy of all documents prepared by you and your teamRepresent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedingsProvide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in compliance with all workers' compensation laws and regulationsWhat We're Looking ForActive Missouri Bar license — requiredAt least one year of workers' compensation experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant litigation background consideredEligibility to obtain Kansas Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity)Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentExceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skillsCommitted to providing responsive and compassionate client serviceProficient with Microsoft Office programs — Excel, Word, SharePointOutstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsGrowth & Leadership Attorneys who want to lead find the opportunity here.
