Attorney - Trusts and Estates Litigation
Established and growing mid-sized firm seeking a Trusts and Estates Litigation Attorney for in El Segundo, CA (Hybrid/Remote)!
An established firm based in El Segundo, CA with over 15 years in practice is seeking a Trusts and Estates Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This role will focus on trusts and estates litigation, probate litigation, contested estate matters, fiduciary disputes, trust contests, will contests, probate administration disputes, and related estate litigation matters for clients requiring strong advocacy, legal writing, and courtroom experience.
Offer:
- Salary range: $180,000-$225,000+, contingent on experience
- Minimum billable requirement of 1,550 hours annually

Qualifications:
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 5+ years of trusts and estates litigation experience
- Probate experience, including contested probate matters and probate court proceedings
- Experience handling fiduciary disputes, trust contests, will contests, estate disputes, and related litigation matters
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently from case assessment through resolution
- Experience preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement communications, and court filings
- Strong client communication skills and ability to work with beneficiaries, trustees, executors, fiduciaries, and family members involved in sensitive disputes
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in trusts and estates litigation, probate litigation, fiduciary disputes, trust contests, will contests, and contested estate matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other litigation-related documents
- Appear in probate court for hearings, conferences, motions, and contested matters
- Manage probate-related disputes involving trustees, executors, beneficiaries, heirs, and fiduciaries
- Develop litigation strategy, evaluate claims and defenses, and advise clients throughout each stage of the matter
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses relating to probate, trust administration, estate disputes, and fiduciary obligations
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and internal team members to move matters forward efficiently
