We’re seeking an experienced Attorney to join a respected law firm with a focus on residential real estate transactions and closings . This is a remote opportunity offering the chance to work on residential real estate matters while collaborating with an experienced legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing real estate transactions, facilitating smooth closings, and providing legal guidance to clients throughout the home-buying and selling process.
Role Expectations:
- Handle residential real estate closings from contract review through closing and transaction completion.
- Review purchase agreements, title commitments, closing disclosures, deeds, and other real estate documents.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties involved in residential transactions.
- Conduct legal research and resolve title issues, contract disputes, and other matters related to residential real estate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable real estate laws, regulations, and closing requirements while facilitating timely and accurate closings.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois Bar admission (required)
- 1+ year of experience in residential real estate closings
- Strong understanding of residential real estate transactions, closing procedures, and related documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and client service skills
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $170,000 base . Factors that may affect pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
