Location/Schedule: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid, 3 days in the office)
Base Salary: $220K
Practice: Senior coverage seat. Opinions, reservation-of-rights letters, declaratory judgment actions, excess, and London-market files. Not a general-liability associate role.
Our client is one of the better-known AV-rated insurance boutiques in Manhattan. The book includes Lloyd’s syndicates, London-market companies, and U.S. excess carriers. The target is 1,900 hours. The office expectation is three days. Lawyers in the group have come from strong schools and from large-firm and specialist insurance practices.

What You’ll Actually Do:
- Draft coverage opinions and reservation-of-rights letters on excess and London-market placements.
- Handle declaratory judgment actions and coverage litigation.
- Advise carriers on first-party, third-party, and reinsurance issues.
- Take depositions and brief dispositive motions.
Requirements:
- JD and active New York bar
- 3+ years post-bar insurance coverage - current Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner
- Coverage opinions and at least one declaratory judgment action on your résumé
