Established Premier Plaintiff Firm Seeking Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Alexandria, VA

An established Virginia-based firm with over 100 years in practice is seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its team in Alexandria. The firm is well known for its compassionate, client-focused approach and proven track record of achieving strong results for injured individuals across Virginia. This candidate will have an active VA bar license (D.C. and MD are a plus).

This position offers meaningful client interaction, courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to handle a diverse range of personal injury matters alongside experienced trial attorneys.

  • Salary range: $75,000-$150,000+ depending on experience and seniority

Qualifications:

  • 1-5+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury
  • Active Virginia Bar membership in good standing
  • Active D.C. and Maryland Bar membership in good standing (Plus)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Experience handling discovery, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Trial experience preferred, or a strong desire to develop courtroom experience
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a paperless, technology-driven environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake through resolution or trial
  • Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare motions and pleadings
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and hearings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to prepare for trial
  • Maintain consistent client communication and ensure exceptional service throughout the case lifecycle
