Attorney OR Senior AttorneyAttorney/Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP) | TallahasseeThis position may be filled at either the Attorney or Senior Attorney level. Screens telephone inquiries on the ACAP Hotline for potential assistance.Required minimum education: Juris Doctorate and a Florida Bar Member in Good Standing.Required minimum professional work experience:Attorney: One (1) year of legal experience as an attorney.Senior Attorney: Three (3) years legal experience as an attorney.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews written complaints to determine whether a disciplinary file should be opened.

Conducts a preliminary investigation through written communication with the complainant and lawyer. Determines whether there is sufficient evidence to forward the matter to the Branch Office for additional review and/or investigation and possible referral to a grievance committee.Screens telephone inquiries on the ACAP Hotline to determine what action, if any, can be performed by The Florida Bar.
