Municipal Attorney PositionA well-established California public law practice is seeking an experienced municipal attorney to support public agency clients in Southern California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys advising public entities, attending public meetings, and working closely with government clients on land use and governance matters.The position focuses on municipal advisory and transactional work, including land use, zoning, CEQA/NEPA compliance, development agreements, and public agency governance.ResponsibilitiesAdvise cities and public agencies on municipal law mattersServe as legal advisor to planning commissions and public boardsProvide counsel on Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Political Reform Act complianceDraft and negotiate development agreements and transactional documentsAdvise on zoning, CUPs, variances, and land use mattersAttend and advise during public meetings and hearingsPrepare ordinances, resolutions, memoranda, and legal documentsQualifications5+ years of municipal law experienceExperience representing California public agenciesExperience advising public boards (planning commissions, city councils, etc.)Strong knowledge of Brown Act, PRA, and Political Reform Act complianceActive California Bar license in good standingCompensation & ScheduleSalary: $170,000 – $200,000 DOEAnnual billable hours bonus programRemote schedule after onboardingMust reside locally in Southern California1,800 annual billable hours targetSalary Range: $170,000 – $200,000Reference:
