This role offers significant hands-on experience, including direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, and the ability to manage cases independently.Minimum QualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law school (top 10% preferred)Active license and good standing with the Texas State BarMinimum of 5 years of defense litigation experienceExperience in one or more of the following areas: General civil litigationComplex litigationInsurance defenseProduct liabilityAppellate lawStrong legal research, analytical, and writing skillsDemonstrated experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discoveryAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectivelyExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of federal and state court proceduresKey ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload independently through all phases of litigation, from inception to trial or settlementDevelop case strategies and provide thoughtful legal analysis and recommendationsDraft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memorandaConduct and defend depositionsRepresent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trialsPrepare witnesses and organize trial exhibitsCommunicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnelEnsure compliance with court rules, scheduling orders, and critical deadlines
