Insurance Defense Attorney | Manhattan, NY (Hybrid) – $200K–$250K

Location/Schedule: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)

Base Salary: $200K–$250K, depending on years

Practice: High-exposure general liability, construction, products, and transportation defense for Fortune 500 insureds and major carriers. The work includes catastrophic-response and complex litigation matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend high-exposure construction, products, transportation, and general liability claims in New York state and federal court.
• Take and defend depositions, including experts on catastrophic files.
• Draft dispositive motions and coverage-adjacent defense positions.
• Prepare cases for mediation and trial.

Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates):

• JD and active New York bar.
• 3–10 years post-bar insurance defense or complex civil litigation — current Associate, Counsel, or Partner.
• Depositions taken on liability files, ideally construction, products, or transportation.
