Litigation Associate - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Our client is a well-known defense firmspecializing in medical malpractice/ healthcare, insurance defense, estate and family law.

They are looking for a highly skilled Litigation Associateto join their team and take on the exciting challenge of managing a substantial caseload. In this role you willhandle cases with minimal supervision, havesignificant experience with the litigation process, handling discovery, motion practice and depositions. 4-5 years of experience or more desired. Experience in commercial litigation/ construction would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Motion and Discovery practice


• Manage cases from inception to close


• Engage in negotiations for settlements


• Carry out legal research


• Attend court hearings when required


• Conduct first meetings with potential clients

Requirements and Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school


• Florida Bar


• Litigationexperience (4-5years)


• Insurance Defense experience


• Commercial litigation/ construction would be a plus not required


• Stable work history


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Analytical skills


• Attention to detail
