Attorney PositionOur client is seeking a dedicated and skilled attorney to join our African American, community based legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury law and worker's compensation law. This role requires exceptional legal research abilities, proficiency with legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to our clients.Responsibilities:Represent clients in legal proceedings, including, but not limited to arbitrations, mediations, motions, trials and appeals.Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in various matters.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive case management.Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas, particularly in personal injury law and worker's compensation law.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.Experience:Juris doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar association is required.Previous experience in litigation and jury trials, preferred but not mandatory.Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw is recommended.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality.This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in legal services.Benefits:Health insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceAbility to relocate:Durham, NC: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work location: In personJob type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per year
