Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney licensed and located in Ohio to join their team in retail consumer collections. This position is based in Toledo and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation, and will be eager to contribute to all aspects of file generation and litigation.

Duties

  • Develop and implement case-level litigation strategy.
  • Represent clients zealously at court proceedings.
  • Manage dockets and cases efficiently with internal teams.
  • Prepare pleadings and ensure seamless case management.
  • Negotiate settlements and defend against counterclaims.
  • Monitor and educate team on legal changes and support continuous improvement.
  • Travel regionally to appear at courts throughout Ohio.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
  • 1-3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation.
  • Good standing with the Ohio Bar Association.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background review process.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

  • Membership in the Ohio Bar Association.
