Senior Civil Litigation AttorneyA civil litigation practice representing public entities is seeking a Senior Civil Litigation Attorney for its Citrus Heights office. This position is suited for attorneys with extensive trial experience who are interested in handling complex civil matters involving government clients.The role involves active courtroom participation and management of litigation matters from inception through verdict.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of civil litigation from case inception through verdictConduct discovery, depositions, and motion practicePrepare and argue motions in limine, conduct jury selection, and handle trialsPerform legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and related documentsInterview clients and witnesses, and maintain communication recordsAttend hearings, mediations, and arbitrationsProvide regular case updates to clientsMonitor changes in relevant laws and regulationsRepresent public entities in civil litigation mattersCandidate Requirements:Minimum 10 years of civil litigation experienceFirst-chair trial experience with at least 10 jury trials and 5 bench trials to verdictStrong knowledge of the California Evidence Code and civil procedureActive California Bar license in good standingExperience representing public entities preferredCompensation:Salary range: $200,000 – $235,000 (DOE)Annual billable hours bonus programBenefits:Medical coverage with employer contributionDental and vision coverageLife and AD&D insuranceRetirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysAdditional voluntary benefits availableWork Arrangement:Full-time roleHybrid/remote flexibility thereafter, with in-person meetings as neededMust reside in Northern California1,800 annual billable hours targetSalary Range: $200,000 to $235,000Reference:
