Our client, a respected, client-focused Illinois law firm, is hiring a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation practice. The start date is ASAP, and the firm is moving quickly.

About the Role

You will handle a full docket of business and commercial disputes, with real responsibility from day one. You will work closely with partners and directly with clients.

Practice areas include:

• Business and commercial litigation
• Construction disputes
• Real estate litigation
• Contract disputes
• Complex probate and estate litigation

Requirements

• J.D. and active Illinois law license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience, preferably more, in business, construction, commercial, real estate, contract, or complex probate matters
• Hands-on experience in pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
• A track record of stable, progressive career growth
• Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload

Location & Schedule

• Offices in downtown Chicago or Schaumburg, IL, with your choice of office
• Onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid

Compensation

• Base salary: $100,000–$150,000, depending on experience. The top of the range is for attorneys with 5+ years of significant, directly relevant litigation experience.
• Bonus: 15% bonus upon reaching 1,800 billable hours
• 1,700 annual billable hour expectation

2. In-person interview with two partners and the client contact

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
