About the Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join a well-established, full-service Chicago law firm of about 30 attorneys. The firm primarily handles defense-side matters, including workers’ compensation, civil rights (police and municipalities), commercial litigation, and business disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle general litigation matters from case inception through resolution, including toxic tort, commercial, construction, employment, general tort, and transportation litigation
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Handle written discovery, depositions, and case development
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Bar license required
- 1+ years of civil litigation experience
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. xhqgsiq Associates are eligible for a tiered billable bonus tied to the billable goal, plus origination and discretionary bonuses, paid annually.
