Duties
Lead attorney on DAF-CJIC and related matters that typically includes complex and difficult legal and factual questions that require a high order of original and creative thinking to craft a reasonable balance between protection of constitutional and individual rights and the need to index and capture derogatory information about individuals to ensure future investigations receive relevant information.
Serves as a source of legal advice and counsel augmenting the OSI Judge Advocate Directorate's Chief of Information Law on the issues related to information maintained by the command, as regulated by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act.
Performs other duties as assigned, to include but not limited to, providing command-level advice and guidance on a full range of legal issues confronting law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
