New York City Health + Hospitals | Queens, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is seeking a full-time Attending Faculty Gastroenterologist. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary oncologic care, quality initiatives, and program development with The Cancer Center of Excellence
- Play an active role in teaching within the ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- Mentor residents and medical students from NYIT COM, St. George's University, and CUNY School of Medicine
- Work alongside Gastroenterology Fellows from The Brooklyn Hospital Center, providing hands-on procedural teaching and clinical supervision
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and system-based innovation
- Engage in scholarly activity, case reports, clinical research, or curriculum development
Compensation
- Compensation range from $361,000 to $371,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM)
- Eligible for or in possession of an unrestricted New York State medical license
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Eligible for hospital medical staff appointment and credentialing
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in a community-based setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy; additional procedural skills a plus)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in scholarly activity, community outreach, or clinical research preferred but not required
