Attending Anesthesiologist

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens, is seeking a Board Certified Attending Anesthesiologist for a full-time position. This exciting opportunity involves providing comprehensive anesthesiology services to a culturally diverse community in Western Queens. The role focuses on patient care during surgical and medical procedures, as well as offering consultative and therapeutic services.

• Affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens and Queens Hospital Center

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthetics to render patients insensitive to pain during surgical and other medical procedures
• Examine patients to determine degree of surgical risk and type of anesthetic and sedation to administer
• Discuss findings with medical practitioners concerned with the case
• Record type and amount of anesthetic and sedation administered and condition of patient before, during, and after anesthesia
• Provide consultative, resuscitative, and therapeutic services to patients in shock, respiratory insufficiency, acute, or chronic pain

Compensation

• Compensation range from $431,000 to $456,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University (M.D. or D.O.)
• New York Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid number
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Strong clinical abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with public health systems are preferred
