Data Analytics / Business Intelligence
We are seeking a skilled AtScale consultant with a heavy focus on semantic layering to join our data analytics team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing multi-dimensional data models using AtScale's platform to streamline data democratization, enhance reporting capabilities, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Semantic Layer Design and Implementation:
- Design and build semantic layers in AtScale to enable unified data access and consistent reporting across various data end points (PowerBI & Excel).
- Develop and maintain multidimensional data models, including cubes, dimensions, and measures, to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Data Modeling:
- Consolidate & enhance existing data models where appropriate to minimize duplicate logic proliferation
- Develop and optimize data models to ensure efficient and scalable data access and query performance.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to understand their requirements and translate them into effective semantic models.
- Provide support and training to end-users on leveraging the semantic layer for reporting and analysis.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of semantic models to ensure quick and reliable data access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data modeling, performance, and user access.
- Documentation and Governance:
- Document semantic layer designs, data models, and configurations to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest features and best practices in AtScale and related technologies.
- Propose and implement enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the semantic layer.
