We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Administrator to support a leading entertainment company. The Atlassian Administrator will be working under the technical direction of the Business Operations Sr. Manager on the Agile Tools & Collaboration Team. The candidate will support MyJira and MyWiki Data Center Platforms/our AWS-hosted Jira and Confluence Data Center Platforms, with over 46 installed plugins/applications.
Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of end-user support, space configuration, and automation for these business-critical applications.
  • Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite.
  • Manage all critical aspects of Atlassian tooling, including but not limited to workflows, screen schemes, automations, JQL, reporting, permissions, notifications, custom fields, marketplace add-ons, and integrations.
  • Support all teams across the organization that use our Jira instance to manage their work.
  • Support and resolve issues as they arise with Jira Projects and Confluence Spaces.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand their business challenges to build solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve Jira/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Atlassian products.
  • Research Atlassian products, including their upcoming features/releases, which can be used for continuous improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new plugins/applications to enhance Jira and Confluence functionality.
  • Install, manage, and administer Jira and Confluence plugins/applications.
  • Understand the system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
  • Investigate and perform advanced troubleshooting for reported issues in Atlassian products. Manage escalations with Atlassian support or third-party support, as required.
  • Create and maintain documentation on Atlassian product configurations, automations, and processes to facilitate change management and training for internal teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand their business challenges to build solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Work closely with the Operations Engineering team on maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Work with the Product Manager to document and publish user guides (training material) and best practices.
  • Conduct end-user training on Jira and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.
  • Refine current Jira processes to be more streamlined and uniform for teams.
  • Execute Production deployments during non-business hours.
  • Must have a customer service-driven mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
Basic Qualifications
  • In-depth experience of Jira Administration.
  • 5+ years of relevant job experience in a large (10,000+ users) Atlassian server environment, plus experience with Atlassian Cloud migration.
  • Proficient in Confluence space administration.
  • Deep expertise in Jira workflow administration and JQL skills.
  • Jira Advanced Roadmap experience is a plus.
  • Process governance experience or strong automation workflow knowledge.
  • Working knowledge and coding/scripting experience using Python or Groovy.
  • Experience with REST API and JSON.
  • Proven track record with Atlassian plugin installations and upgrades.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Atlassian tools in on-prem or AWS and Atlassian Cloud environments.
  • Experience with Agile methodology lifecycle.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more Atlassian certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Grafana, Splunk, and other monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Experience using and managing common add-ons such as Automation for Jira, Advanced Roadmaps, ScriptRunner, and the Bob Swift suite.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
